DOUBLE C RANCH
Meet the School Horses and get to know them better!
Sandocs Royal Queen
Queeny is a 16-year-old Mare who was an open-performance horse most of her life.
She has a Performance Merit and placed 3rd twice in the Open Division in the World Show in Ranch Sorting, as well being fully trained in Team Penning, Team Sorting, Ranch Work, and Cutting.
She’s had two colts while at the Double C Ranch and is favored by most of the boys learning here.
Sandy Wimpy Catalyst
Cat is a 14-year-old AQH mare who has been shown by me and my daughter in a variety of different shows. She qualified my (then 12-year-old) daughter for the World finals in Sorting.
She joined the ranch as a 3-year-old, has never left, and never will.
She’s been trained in Reining, Barrels, Jumping, Dressage, Trail, Cutting, Sorting, and Roping.
She loves to go fast, Jump, and do Reining spins.
All of the students love her!
Spin is 27 years old and one of my boarder horses that does help out once in a while, since she loves nothing more then a great bath and lots of kids hands on her.
She loves the attention and is very reliable, nothing bothers her. You can tell that she loves having a job and she always gives 110%!! The students love her for it.
Nugget is a 8 year old Gelding. He is a very successful former Racehorse. He joined us in Spring 2023 and is a great step up from Queeny, so basically for "advanced beginners", he is very forgiving and patient and overall just a sweet boy. He is amazing with the kids when getting groomed, very careful and just loves attention. His favorite is jumping.
He also loves mud and to be groomed lol.....and Bananas!
Mr J is a Quarterhorse/Arabian X
He is amazing on the trails and has been previous shown in Western Pleasure, he also jumped up to 2 feet and knows the Barrels. His favorite is trail riding :). He is more on the slower side and a great confidence builder. He is H16 tall and build like a tank.
Wild with Style
Willow is a sucessfull former racehorse that has been shown in jumping and is also great on trails. She is more of a forward type horse and therefore more for advanced students. She is amazing on the trails, very laid back and not worried about anything.
